Another shot of many from a fantastic shoot at Nash point in Wales
A featureless sky over the new(er) pier at Swanage. My favourite kind of shot with a central element with lines of perspective and symmetry.
Its been a long time since I've managed to drag myself out for a sunrise and after a recent outing with Hungerford Camera Club where we visited Fyfield Down again and the weather didn't work out, I felt inspired to try a sunrise.
Old town in Dubrovnik is just amazing especially the way the streets are lit at night.
Taking this shot was hard. Not because of the trek to get there or anything (We camped about 30 metres away from here next to the car) but the fact that this place was overran with midges. Just editing this today I am scratching every part of my body. I'm sure I have bites on my bites!!
THe grand avenue in Savernake forest near Marlborough. As the sunsets you get this amazing light beaming through the trees.
The old man of Storr is an iconic landscape on the Isle of Skye in Scotland and one which I've always wanted to photograph. So I took a 350 mile road trip and wild camped with my brother through Scotland to see it. The weather in Scotland is often changeable so we hiked up early on what was a pleasant sunny day at the bottom but when reaching the summit the weather was significantly colder. For four hours I paced in circles and jogged on the spot to try and warm up whilst waiting for the sun to set. One by one, all of the other photographers left, discouraged by the overcast sky. Finally alone with my brother, the sun dipped below the horizon and a kaleidoscope of colour appeared in the sky. If you look closely halfway down the path on the right hand side you can see the last group of photographers to leave which I left in to remind me to always arrive early and leave late and to give a sense of scale of this incredible landscape.
